My Heart In My Art
Okay, how cheesy does that title sound. Sooo cheesy but sooo completely true. I am not typically a blogger besides posting photos but I just felt compelled to put it all out there.
As many of you, whom I have photographed, know, my inspiration of photography truly came from my 3-week-old sons death. From his death I realized the true importance of photos. A friend who is a photographer asked me to help her shoot a wedding, that's all is took for me to have the confidence to turn my inspiration of photography into a reality.
In the last month or so, besides my wonderful weddings, I had felt kind of down that I didn't seem to be as busy as I thought I should. As an "artist" I immediately get down on myself thinking people must not like my work enough. Well how dare I. God has so evidently protrayed to me that through photography, with my testimony, this is a goal he has very much blessed. The reason I feel that things slowed down this last month is that my sister, my best friend, found out she had a brain tumor. Had I been busy with photography, I wouldn't have been able to go visit her and I definately wouldn't have been able to help watch my sweet niece and nephew. As soon as my sister came back from her brain surgery and I got the chance to see her recovering well, I got a very special phone call. I had found out that I had gotten chosen as the 2nd best Artist of the Flathead! "Really God," was my response. The very next day I started getting more phone calls for sessions. God's timing is so perfect. He knew I couldn't handle business during the stressful time of my sister being here. He also knew I was getting down on myself. So what did he do? He used all of my oh-so-special fans to put votes in for my business, in a contest that I didn't even know existed! Thanks to those of you who voted for my business! I honestly know I am not the 2nd best artist in the Flathead but I do know that I have the 1st best person on my side and that is my Heavenly Father! This takes a lot for me to just spit this all out but what doesn't take alot is the chance to thank all of you special people who voted for my business! Also, to praise the Lord for blessing my business and for trusting me to use my testimony for HIS good. More importantly though, for healing my sister, making that tumor benign and working through the surgeons to remove that tumor from her brain! Praise the Lord!

Dear Gabby
Precious GABBY LEDUC
When I met Kathy in bible study last year who would have ever known the struggles that this year would bring for her. Her precious daughter Gabby was diagnosed with A.L. Leukemia. In following Kathy's posts I just couldn't wait to photograph these two together. I am so thankful and feel honored that Kathy let me come to her house and take some photos of the two of them! Please pray for dear Gabby and her family!
There will be a benefit auction for Gabby in Kalispell at the Zone this Thursday, the 12th from 5:30-9:00 pm.
