My favorite part of this session was the clearly obvious, large amount of love that came from this little family. Baby Gavin has entered the arms of some truly amazing parents! I loved taking the maternity photos, now newborn photos. I look forward to photographing this little guy for years to come!

As we begin 2012 I thought it would be fun to look back on some of the wonderful weddings I got the opportunity to photograph in 2011. I tried making it short and sweet to one song so it was really hard to choose which ones to put in, in fact I have a lot more favorites that I just couldn't fit in. Anyone who has seen my website www.kalispellweddingphotographer.com will recognize this song sung by a friend, Jennifer Jones, I have known for a long time who is so talented. Speaking of friends, as I looked through the wedding albums again from this last year I am reminded of how important it is as a photographer to have a connection with the married couple of be. I can honestly say I felt that with every couple I got the opportunity to photograph this last year! I look forward to all the beautiful brides and friendships in this 2012 year and to see what next years video will look like! But for now, a recap of 2011....

This session was such a blast I forgot it was cold outside! I loved the idea of the addition of the hats on everyone at the end of the session. The boys discovered a way to get to the top floor of the barn and found a great photo-op spot!

This was my second year to get the chance to take the Dyson's family photos! We were out in the field with the barn last year and this year Cara wanted to mix it up and do the complete opposite. I thought these backdrops worked great for family photos. Little Mr. Jaden had done a faceplant the day before but thanks to editing tools...in most of them you can't tell.

Leisl is 1! She seemed a little bothered by the studio lighting. The thing she loved, I think may be obvious in the pictures...balloons (and of course mommy and daddy made her happy too)! It was a beautiful day and she was happy to be outside. What a cutie!

This senior session with George went so well! We started at Woodland Park, a few at Conrad Mansion and then headed to an alley downtown. He is a football player so he was part of the Braves football team photo I took, and I got a chance to photograph him again when we did a mini session with four of his good friends.

Something about this graffiti wall brings out some funky editing side of me! I'm sure it has to do with all the bright colors plus the fact I had so much fun editing Robert's senior photos. I am loving senior photo time of year! Not only did I get to do Robert's senior photos but also some group friend photos (posted on my business facebook page), and he plays for the Flathead Braves and so a couple of days later I got to take the fun team photo which I will post when edited!

On this evening in Bigfork we had such a great time. This senior had 6 different outfit changes and we had a few scenery changes as well! What a stunning girl she is and she definately had the modeling thing down but more importantly she was so sweet and her pictures protray that.

This wedding in Great Falls was amazing! It was nice to shoot at some new beautiful locations. I always tell my bride and groom to be flirty with eachother during the photos and they had no problem with that! In doing that we captured some photos that are so full of love and emotion.

I first met this beautiful little family at the daddy-daughter photo shoot I did last spring. Which then led into them being one of the two winners of the photo contest. The best part of this session was that it was little Miss "B"s 1 year birthday this day! What a joy it was to spend an hour with this precious girl on her 1st birthday!

I felt so honored to get to be a part in the fund raiser for the Abbie Shelter which is a domestic violence shelter for women. Six of the ladies from the shelter were chosen to get makeovers from Protege Hair Salon (who put on the event) and I just wanted to share some before and after photos of these amazing ladies!
